Harold Floyd Crawford

March 24, 1931 — November 27, 2015

Rev. Harold Floyd Crawford, 84, of Flora Vista, NM went home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2015. He was born second to the oldest of 16 children on March 24, 1931 in Arcadia, NE to Loren L. Crawford and Nora S. Korb. He was a veteran of the US Army.
Harold was a Man of God with a beautiful spirit, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He received his high school diploma from Salida High School while serving in the Army. He served in Korea, which he spoke of often and was one of his greatest memories. While in Korea, he received a metal for "Going Above and Beyond the Call of Duty." He was a man of many trades; soldier, logger, welder, heavy equipment operator, truck driver and most importantly, a minister of the gospel. He served Gideons International for eight years before becoming an ordained minister. He was also a member of VFW Post 614 and the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, his family, writing poetry and playing stringed instruments.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Loren L. and Nora S. Crawford, brother Clarence and sisters Viola, Violet, Marjorie, Eileen and Yvonne.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Isla Jean Carpenter, brothers David, Raymond and Freeman, sisters Mary, Lorraine, Phyllis, Pauline, Lois and Doris. His children Floyd and Dinah Crawford of Flora Vista, Audrey and Norman R. Grobe of Branson, MO, Sharon and Brad Harder of Grand Island, NE, Marvin and Sandra Crawford of Mesa, AZ, Dale and Charlene Crawford of Farmington, NM, Lois and Jim Lewis of Bloomfield, NM and Alan and Melissa Crawford of Phoenix, AZ.
He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am Wed. December 2, 2015 at Gracehill Church in Farmington, NM with services immediately following at 11:00 am with Rev. MaryLou and Fermin Talamante officiating. Interment will be at a later date following cremation.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Gideons International. Harold's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
