Farmington, New Mexico
September 25, 1923 - April 16, 2020

Gwyneth was born in Williamstown, South Wales, United Kingdom to Arthur Daniel and Emily (James) Davies. Gwyneth grew up in the Rhondda Valley of South Wales the youngest daughter of two. Gwyneth finished school at the age of 15 and studied to be a nanny. At 16 she moved to England to work as a nanny where she was drafted into the war effort when World War II broke out. Gwyneth worked assembling machine gun belts at a Browning munitions factory in Coventry, England. Gwyneth met an American GI named Troy Coburn who was a navigator/radio operator for the Army Air Corps. They were married in 1944, and were blessed with a daughter in 1945. After the war, Gwyneth and her infant daughter traveled to America on the warship USS Washington in 1946 to join Troy in East Texas. While expecting their second child, Troy died in an airplane crash in 1948. Gwyneth was a widow for two and a half years when she met Bob Browning. They were married in January of 1951. After living in various locations, they settled in Farmington, NM in 1956. Gwyneth was a housewife for many years before starting work for local doctors. Gwyneth was active in church functions, she loved hosting parties including many bridal and baby showers. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Gwyneth was amazing! She was always first to give and the last to take credit. She had the most beautiful singing voice, and she loved to sing. A wonderful cook, her food was always clean (as she made sure to tell everyone who sat at her table). Gwyneth touched the lives of so many people, her kindness, love and humor will be deeply missed.

Survived by Daughter Lynden Lee Coburn, Granddaughters Kathleen (Felix) and Nicole (Rick) and great-grandchildren Christopher and Miranda.
