Goldie May Seifert Tutt was born Jan. 1, 1924. She entered into eternal life with her Lord and Savior Dec. 23, 2016, after 93 years of life on this Earth. There to greet her are her beloved husband Reverend David E. Tutt; her parents Clarence and Velna Seifert; her brother Gaylord Seifert and his wife Margaret; cousin Shirl Fleming, brother-in-law Darrell Tutt; sister-in-law Eva Hallberg; brother-in-law William Morland; niece Judy Tutt Nelson; infant nephews Jeremy Seifert and Rocky Cassellius; and her dear friends, Dorothy Dunbar and Julia Sletten.
Those of us who loved her quick humor, and generous heart will sorely miss her. These include her children, Tricia Tutt Shelly (Steve), Tim Tutt (Eileen), Tom Tutt (Melani) and Ted Tutt (Jennifer); grandchildren Luther, Terence, Daniel, Hannah, David A. (Kayla), and Emily; her brother's seven children and their families (now numbering 70); the four remaining siblings of David E., Betty Morland (dear friend to Goldie), Roy Tutt (Lyla), Amy Backlund (Gerald), Elsie Wynia (Harold), brother-in-law Ernest Hallberg and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews; her many dear friends in the four corners, especially Alford and Betsy Newman.
The family is grateful to Elsie Harris Christiansen, one of Goldie's Navajo daughters, who came to assist daughter Tricia in the last 13 days of Goldie's life. Also thank you to Dr. James Tryon, Dr. Harold Sunderman, Hospice De La Luz and all those who supported us with their thoughts and prayers.
There will be a viewing from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31 at the Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home Chapel, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington. A service in celebration of her life and birthday will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1 at the First United Methodist Church, 803 Monterey Ave. in Farmington. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Simmons from the Aztec Methodist Church and Pastor Raymond Henry from Riverside Bread of Life in Fruitland. After cremation, she will be interred in Pepin, Wisconsin at a later date.
