Geraldine Maas, 73, of Farmington, passed away on Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, in Farmington. She was born March 3, 1942, in Cedar Ridge, Colo., to Cecil and Mary Hunt.
She was an elementary teacher. She taught at Bluffview Elementary in Farmington for the majority of her career. Her passion in life was people-students, coworkers, friends, and most of all her family. After retirement, her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved husband of almost 50 years. She loved going on scenic drives with him, watching TV, going to the movies, and sitting at the kitchen table listening to his golf adventures.
Geraldine is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Maas; son, Cecil Mass and wife, Renee Maas; daughter, Crystal Offutt and husband, Mike Offutt; brother, Daniel Hunt; grandsons, Jay Maas, Trace Offutt and Tyler Offutt; and three very much adored great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 312 N. Orchard Ave. in Farmington. A reception will follow at Crystal and Mike Offutt's home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity. Geraldine's care is entrusted to the Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
