Georgia Ann (Robbins) Hines

March 1, 1941 — September 19, 2016

Georgia Ann Hines, 75, passed away on September 19, 2016 in Farmington, NM. She was born in Durango, Colorado on March 1, 1941 to George and Bertha Robbins. Georgia spent her childhood in Ignacio and Arboles, Colorado. In 1951 the family moved to Farmington.
Georgia was married to J.R. Hines from 1959 to 1995. As with any Air Force family she traveled to and lived in many areas coast to coast within the United States as well as other countries. Her career was in sales. Georgia loved to be outdoors. She enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and gardening. She loved to watch funny movies. She was happiest when surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to tell stories of growing up on a farm and her life as an Air Force wife, living in Okinawa and Saudi Arabia. She returned to Farmington in 1995 to be with her family and to help raise her grandchildren, which were her greatest joy in life. In 1952 she and her sister, Thelma, were founding members of First Christian Church, which later became Sunrise Christian Church. The only thing that kept her from her church family and worshiping her Lord and Savior was when she was too ill to attend.
Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, George and Bertha Robbins, and by her two sisters Dixie Mae Robbins and Thelma Wilson.
She is survived by her two children John Hines (Noelle) and Yvonne Sizemore (Bret), four grandchildren; Jeffrey, Nicole, Leigh Ann, and Rebekah, and 12 great grandchildren; Dominic, Jeffrey, Ezekiel, Isaac and Paisley Hines, Sophia Stallings, Jude and Sarai Maxwell and Malachi, Luke, Micah and Leo Rieser, two brothers Leroy Robbins and David Robbins (Judy), her sister Frances Moffitt (Gary), as well as Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Georgia was a member of Sunrise Christian Church 1501 Sunrise Parkway, where services will be held on October 5, 2016 at 1:30 pm.
Georgia's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute Street, in Farmington, 505-325 8688.
