George A Groblebe

George A. Groblebe, 87, of Flora Vista, died on Saturday, March 9, 2013 in Flora Vista. He was born March 15, 1925 in Springfield, Ark. to Auther and Edna Sears Groblebe.
George served in the US Army from Aug. 13, 1942 to Feb. 22, 1946. He was in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign and received the American Campaign medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medal, Good Conduct medal and the WWII Victory medal. He was retired from Painter's #3. He worked from 1952 to March 31, 1985.
George was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Ann Groblebe Alexander Roper; brothers, Frank, Paul, John, Earl and Grant Groblebe and sister, Esther Naomi Groblebe Rigsby.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Marie Groblebe Smith Pirnat, of Copperopolis, Calif. and sister, Sarah Elizabeth Groblebe Poulson, of Flora Vista.
A grave side service will be 1 p.m. on Monday, March 18, in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, officiated by his family.
George's care is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel of Aztec, 405 S. Main Ave. in Aztec 505-334-9332.
