George "Bud" Vernon Gilmore, 74, of Farmington, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, at his home. He was born Feb. 27, 1939, in Deming, to Willis Ray and Florence Pearl Campbell Gilmore. He graduated from Deming High School in 1957 and enlisted in theU.S. Air Force. He was stationed in Japan for three years, with the 2710 Installations SQ. He was honorably discharged in 1960. Bud was employed in the explosives industry for 37 years. The last 13 years, he was in Farmington as a SR Tech Rep for WESCO. He retired in 2005. He married Victoria "Vickie" Dahlstedt Hall on Feb. 6, 1991, in Olympia, Wash. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Norma Collins; brother, Leslie Gilmore and his nephew, Daryl Collins. He is survived by his wife; three children and two step-children, Brian (Erika) Gilmore, of Albuquerque, Sandra (Robert) Romero, of Aurora, Colo., Sara (Eric) Rogers, of Olympia, Wash., Tori (Scott) Bailey, of Coahoma, Texas, and Lynn (Marla) Hall, of Lovell, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. George was an avid hunter, and he enjoyed the outdoors. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. George's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E.
