Gail Riordan Ames, 70, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed away on Jan. 11, 2015, in Tucson. She was born June 10, 1944, in Iraan, Texas, to Jerre Riordan and Virginia Riordan.
Gail graduated from Farmington High School with the Class of 1962. She attended McMurray College in Abilene, Texas.
She worked as a bookkeeper and a bank teller, and was a licensed real estate agent.
She enjoyed exploring the back roads and camping, loved to play games, especially Scrabble, dominoes and card games such as bridge and hand and foot.
She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Jerre and Virginia Riordan; and her brother, Stephen Riordan.
She is survived by her son, John Ames (Karen) of Tucson; and grandchildren, Ryan Mammana, Jack Ames, Devin Celis, Sean Celis and Alexa Ames.
Interment will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 11 at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 11 at Civitan Park South Shelter.
