Fred Allen Huffman Sr., 89, of Farmington, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at his home. Fred was born in Guthrie, Okla. March 27, 1924 to Fred Allen Huffman and Edith Elizabeth Foy Huffman. Fred worked in the oil fields in New Mexico and Texas and was an inventor of the Ride-A-Hopper and Bek Pen. He was in Who's Who in Technology Today. Fred was a friend to many and helped those in need. He will be missed by his family, friends and neighbors.Fred was preceded in death by his parents, three brother and three sisters. Fred is survived by his children: Raymond (Kathy) Huffman, Fred (Amie) Huffman, Shirley Cox, Jeannette (Frank) Cox, Sandi (Wes) Sugden and Mary (Doug) Keeffe and 15 Grandchildren and 28 Great grandchildren. Cremation will take place and memorial services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., in Farmington. with his son, Bishop Fred Huffman III officiating.
