Frank "Gene" Eugene Fuller passed away from natural causes on August 20, 2016 in Kirtland, NM.
Born July 21, 1928 in Pine Arizona to Lester Hiram Fuller and Ora Lillian Jones, he was raised on Northern Arizona ranches with his seven brothers and sisters. After his junior year of high school he joined the army and served in Germany 1946-49. After returning home he worked on the Diamond A and K4 Ranches. During this time he met the love of his life, Phyllis Joan Kielhorn. They were married Oct. 2, 1950 in Flagstaff, AZ. Frank was re-called for service during the Korean Conflict.
He had a full and illustrious career in the Natural Gas Industry working many years for El Paso Natural Gas in the 4 Corners area and Idaho. He also worked for Mobil Oil in Tripoli, Libya, POI in West Texas, and Llano Gas in New Mexico and other parts of the US.
He was an adventurer who loved learning, traveling, exploring new places, serving others and breakfast at Mc Donald's. He enjoyed photography, camping, baseball and Jeopardy.
Above all, Frank loved the Lord and his family first and foremost. He was a respecter of all people and was respected by those he worked with in return.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints and served faithfully in many callings where ever they lived. While serving as Mayor of Bayfield, Colorado the town received a national award for their efforts in beautification and clean-up projects.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Lester H., Jerry, and Jack Fuller. Sisters, Eleanor, Helen and Freddie. A son-in-law Roger Ashbaker, grandchildren; Tara and Jacob Hardcastle and great-granddaughter Charity Murphy.
Frank is survived by Phyllis, his eternal companion. Son, Nathan (Arcilia) Fuller. Daughters, Bonnie (Dennis) Caywood, Mickie (Thomas) Warner, Shannan (James) Hardcastle, and Diana (David) Saxton. 27 Grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. Sister, Betty Jo Dent, sisters-in-law, Hazel and Penny and many nieces and nephews. Brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Caryl Busman, and Richard Kielhorn.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to LDS Humanitarian Services or the Salvation Army.
Funeral services will be in Kirtland, New Mexico on Thursday August 25, 2016 at 11a.m. There will be a viewing that morning from 10 to 10:30. Services will be in the Kirtland 3rd Ward LDS Church. 549 Rd 6100 Kirtland, NM.
