He journeyed from Mexico to the U.S. at the tender age of 14. He settled down in Farmington where he met and then married his beautiful wife Pilar, and established their lives together. While working throughout the Four Corners, as a Pipeline Supervisor he was always very dedicated to his job. He enjoyed being with his family, outdoors grilling, fishing and playing with his grandkids. He always loved hanging out with family and friends until late hours of the night talking about the good ol' days and making people laugh. Most of all our hero loved singing his favorite oldies. His biggest passion was to see all his grandchildren together playing, fishing, and each of them achieving their goals in life.

He is survived by his wife Pilar Estrada Mendoza; sons, Jesus (Dana) Mendoza and Gabriel Estrada; his daughters, Patricia Mendoza and Mayra Estrada; brothers, Jesus Estrada and Javier Estrada; sisters, Rosalva Beltran, Dora Alicia Gonzalez, Guadalupe Estrada and Tere Estrada.
