Frances Ellen Robinson

Frances Ellen Robinson, long time educator with the Farmington Public Schools, passed from this mortal life on October 20th, 2022. Ellen was born in Ryan, OK on January 27, 1924 to parents James Monroe and Florence Ida Lisby -Grubbs. She grew up in rural Oklahoma and graduated from Fletcher High School, Fletcher, OK. She also graduated from Oklahoma State Teachers College at Edmond, Oklahoma and became a teacher in rural Oklahoma. She married Leslie Albert Robinson Dec. 2nd 1944 and lived around Fletcher, Oklahoma. They moved to Farmington, NM in 1957 where she taught school for 25 years at Apache Elementary. She retired in 1985. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie A. Robinson, Daughter Linda Elaine Robinson and parents. She came from a large family of 9 children, Billie Grubbs (deceased), Earline Dickson (deceased), Jimmy Grubbs (deceased), Mary Grubbs (deceased), Alice Dodson of Rush Springs, OK, Charles Grubbs of Kirtland, NM, Darlene Trayer & Sonny of Farmington, and Eddie Grubbs of Oolagah, OK. She is survived by her sons Dennis Robinson & Sue, Farmington, NM, Andy Robinson & Lisa, Newcastle, OK. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Ellen was a member of Bethany Christian Church in Farmington. A Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, Farmington, NM. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
