A rosary for Frances Garcia Ferrari of Gallup, New Mexico will be at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Friday, April 11, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Father Kevin Finnegan will officiate. Funeral mass will follow immediately. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. A reception will follow at Sacred Heart Family Center.

Frances passed away on April 6, 2014 in Gallup, New Mexico, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 5, 1918 in Atarque, New Mexico to Jerimias and Acencion Garcia. She was the third oldest of eleven children.

Frances was not fortunate enough to finish school. At age 16 she married Ernest C. Garcia and together they had four children. Emmitt "Frank Garcia, Jerry Garcia Sr. and Anita Beardsley Thomas. They moved to Mexican Springs, New Mexico where they ran the Trading Post.

After the death of Ernest she married Anthony Ferrari, whom she was married to for 42 years. After retirement they moved to Tucson, Arizona. After living there for 31 years she returned to Gallup, New Mexico, to live with her son Jerry and his wife Dale Garcia, where she lived for her final 5 years of life.

Frances was a great business woman, the proud owner of The Esquire Lounge and Shi'Ma Traders. She also worked at First State Bank and Holman's Jewelry.

Frances was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She was always positive and affectionate. She loved to play golf, dance and entertain friends and family. Frances was the life of the party. She will be greatly missed and loved.

She is survived by her son Jerry and his wife Dale Garcia, daughter Anita Beardsley Thomas, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; her sisters Crucita Carroll, of Big Bear, California; and Reyes Lovato of Barstow, California.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Ernie Garcia, Frank Garcia Jr., Jerry Garcia Jr., Tony Romero, Joseph Garcia, Wade Macias, Dwayne Macias, Gerad Garcia, Chuck Beardsley, and Sean Beardsley.

Cope Memorial Chapel of Gallup, New Mexico is entrusted with arrangements.
