Frances Loraine Davis, 82, of Bloomfield, went to meet her Lord and Savior Thursday, April 3, 2014, in Aztec . Frances was born Oct. 5, 1931, in Long Lane, Mo., to Cleo and Nona Breshears. Frances loved the Lord and her church where she was always willing to serve. She loved teaching children about the lord and loved meeting new people and always had fun with her church friends. Her second love was watching racing. In all her sons years of racing from motocross to racing cars on dirt tracks she was always his biggest fan and sat front row to the dirt flying and motors roaring with a huge smile on her face. Frances will always be remembered for her joking sense of humor and her kindness she gave to many as well as working for Kare Drug in for 20 years, Frances loved staying on the phone and visiting with her daughter and always made time for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved all of her friends dearly, especially Rose who helped care for her when needed Sofie and Judy who always made her laugh. The family would also like to thank one of her favorite people, Dr. Barkman, who was just "Bill" to Frances. She valued his opinion about everything he told her, and if she could not get a hold of him her other favorite was Jack Sona whom she trusted as well. Also, the family would like to thank Good Samaritan for all there employees compassion and care given to Frances. Frances is survived by her husband Roy F. Davis whom she met at a race track and married 49 years ago. Frances is also survived by her son, Jeff (Amy) Davis, her daughter, Nancy (Ole) Olson of Tucson, Ariz. Her grandchildren, Kelly Nasta and Austin Davis and her great-grandchildren Jeremy Nasta and Justin Nasta. She also leaves behind her best friend and brother John Breshears who always loved visiting and watching old westerns all day together. Frances is preceded in death by her parents Cleo and Nona Breshears and her brother Wayne Breshears.
A viewing will be at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 7, held at the Bloomfield Assembly of God.
A celebration for Frances will be at 10 a.m. after the viewing, with pastors Ed Wolfard and Fred Connell officiating.
A graveside will immediately follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
Frances is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel of Aztec, 405 S. Main Ave., 505-334-9332.
