Flaviano James Montoya

August 25, 1950 — November 7, 2014

Flaviano James Montoya, 64, went home to his heavenly father on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014. He was born in Cuba, New Mexico to Elizardo and Adelina Montoya on Aug. 25, 1950. He enjoyed working on cars and being outdoors or cruising around with friends. He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him especially his wife Imelda of 30 wonderful years together. He also loved his country and proudly served it by completing two tours in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his dad Elizardo Montoya. He is survived by his wife Imelda Montoya; sons, Michael (Amy) Montoya, Christopher Montoya, Marc Montoya, Jhered (Julia) Montoya, Matthew (Kelsey) Montoya; mother Adelina Montoya; brother Arnold (Marcia) Montoya; sister Carmel Hall; grandchildren Alan Montoya, Marquez Montoya, Julian Montoya, and Gage Montoya.
A Rosary for Flavino will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E Ute St. in Farmington and Funeral Mass will be at 11:05 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 13, at St Mary's Church, 2100 E 20th St. in Farmington, with Father Frank Chacon officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens following Burial Mass. A reception will follow at St. Mary's Parish Center in Farmington.
Flavino's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688
