Funeral services for Eva H. Todicheeinie, 97, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at St. Michaels Catholic Church. The Rev. Pio O'Conner, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be at St. Michaels Community Cemetery. Visitation will be recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at St. Michaels Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at St. Michael Mission.
Todicheeinie died Jan. 12, 2013, in Fort Defiance, Ariz. She was born April 15, 1915, in St. Michaels, Ariz., into the Red House People Clan born for the Salt People Clan.
Todicheeinie was a homemaker, rug weaver and Foster Grandparent with the Navajo Headstart Program. She was active in the Native American Church, Catholic Church and traditional ceremonies.
Survivors include her sons Leo Todicheeinie, Felix Todicheeinie and Chester Todicheeinie; daughters Mary Warren and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph White Sr. and daughter Mary Josephine Lee.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends at ST. Michael School gym.
Cope Memorial Chapel in Gallup is in charge of arrangements.
