Ernest Victor, 62, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015, in Nageezi. He was born on Oct. 11, 1953, in Monte Vista, Colo., to Ted Victor and Mary W. Victor. He was born into the Ute clan for the Edge Water clan.
Ernest was employed as a pipe liner for the Union Pacific Railroad. His hobbies included fishing, camping, cooking, wood carving, taking long walks, working on vehicles and most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Victor was preceded in death by his father Ted Victor; grandfather Paul Wero; grandmother Susie Wero; nephew John "Wil" Betoni III. He is survived by his wife Caroline Charley; sons, Braxton Victor and Marcus Victor; daughters, Veronica V. Naize, Verenda Victor and Evandon Victor; mom Mary W. Victor; brothers, Harry Victor, Austin Victor and Carleston Victor; sisters, Kathy Victor and Elaine Betoni; and 11 grandchildren.
A viewing for Ernest will be from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at Brethren in Christ Mission in Otis.
A service for Ernest will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, at Brethren in Christ Mission in Otis, officiated by Pastor Pauline Platero followed by the interment and a reception.
Pallbearers are Brandon Victor, Creighton Victor, Roger John Sr., Robert Dornburg, Christian McDonald and Kenyon Hines.
Honorary pallbearers are Braxton Victor, Marcus Victor, Harry Victor, Austin Victor and Carleston Victor.
