Emmett Glenn Saxon

August 28, 1924 — January 11, 2014

Emmett "Bud" Saxon, 89, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., Aug. 28, 1924, he primarily lived in Pawhuska, Okla. and Wichita, Kan. He later joined the U.S. Army Air Corps and U.S.A.F. flying fighter jets until retiring as a Lt. Colonel from Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. He and his wife moved to Farmington in 1985 where they enjoyed fishing and boating at Navajo Lake. They were often seen "cutting a rug" at the Elks Club where many enjoyed their fantastic dancing. Bud was always ready for a fun night of poker and games with his poker buddies or family. Bud was preceded in death by his loving wife and companion, Geri by a year. He is survived by his children, Vicki Saxon, Sally Saxon, Nancy Jenkins, Chris Saxon and wife, Dawn, Bill and Michael Davis. His many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss his generous and loving presence. Bud requested there be no services but a family gathering at Navajo Lake this summer.
