The Rev. Emmet Jack Fowler, 84, of Farmington, departed this world surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington. Father Jack was born May 7, 1929, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Emmet Grandville Fowler and Nellie Cowell Fowler. Father Jack was a faithful Man of God, ministering to the people of the Navajo Nation and Four Corners area for over 60 years. As an Episcopal priest, he embraced all walks of faith and welcomed everyone into fellowship and love of Christ.
Jack is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Fowler; sons, Lon (Nancy) Fowler, Emmet (Debbie) Fowler and Sheraldd Daniels; daughters, Cindy Fowler (James King), Katrina Fowler-Miller (Jason), Mary Fowler-Kee (Myron), Sandra (Jason) Sorrelhorse, Dawn (Robert) Wille and Mary Ann (Butch) O'Neal; brother Bruce (Betty) Fowler; 23 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service and a celebration of his life will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, at The Oasis Church, 1601 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington.
His ashes will be laid to rest in St. John's Episcopal Church Rose Garden.
In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate a short written memoir of Father Jack.
