Elsie Ernestina Medina, 87, of Farmington, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Monday, July 17, 2017, at Cedar Ridge Inn. She was born Feb. 3, 1930, in Salida, Colo. the daughter of Fred Roybal and Katherine Trujillo Roybal and stepmother Lucinda Roybal.
Elsie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved sewing, cooking and taking care of all her family. Elsie was known as "Nana" to everyone and she will be greatly missed.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother David Roybal. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Medina of 67 years; children, Pat Lobato, Carmen (Nick) Candelaria and Sandy (Rob) Wilson; grandchildren, Aaron (Melissa) Lobato, Darren Lobato, Jason (Nikki) Lobato, Charmoin (Dave) McKendrick, Dorella Duran and Michael Wilson; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Payton Lobato, Ashton, Davin and Phoenix McKendrick and Azurae and Aleah Bunce; and a sister, Dolores Roybal.
A viewing will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 22 at New Life in Christ Church, 1108 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington. A funeral service for Elsie will follow viewing at 1 p.m. at New Life in Christ Church with Rev. Elias Gonzales officiating. Elsie will then be laid to rest at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington.
