Elisa Teresa (Esquibel) Rodriguez

December 16, 1933 — March 23, 2016

Elisa Teresa Rodriguez, 82 of Bloomfield, passed away on March 23, 2016, in Farmington. She was born on December 16, 1933, to Alfredo and Rebecca Esquibel in Park View, New Mexico.
Elisa graduated high school in 1952 from Loretto Academy in Santa Fe. She was a retired bookkeeper from Armstrong Coury Insurance Company. Elisa belonged to several quilting bees, taught tamale cooking classes at San Juan College, enjoyed Bingo tournaments in Las Vegas, Nevada and loved spending time with family. She was known and loved by many and will be greatly missed!
Elisa was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Richard Esquibel and Alfredo Esquibel, Jr.
She is survived by her husband Louis Rodriguez; sons David (Joanne) Rodriguez and Donald (Angelique) Rodriguez; daughters Lollie (Ricky) Casaus and Roberta (Jimmy) Armenta; brothers David Esquibel, Belarmino (Linda) Esquibel, Gaspar (Lorraine) Esquibel and Leo (Beatrice) Esquibel; sisters Beatrice (Max) Randolph, Rebecca (Steve) DeYapp, Connie (Joe) Branch and Maria (Jack) Crosswhite; sister-in-laws Margeret Esquibel and Viola Esquibel; grandchildren Jerica (Philip) Gallegos, Richard (Margo) Casaus, Julie Casaus, David Rodriguez, Adam Rodriguez, Rebecca Rodriguez, Rachel Rodriguez and Peter Rodriguez; and great grandchildren Eli, Carlo and Andrew Gallegos.
A rosary will be recited at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 28th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomfield. Memorial Mass will follow at 11:30 AM with Father James E. Walker as celebrant.
Donations may be made in Elisa's memory to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1900 Mark Ave., Gallup, NM 87301.
Elisa's care is entrusted to the Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
