Elfida Alicia "Alice" (Corn) Kartchner was born on June 4, 1925, and returned to her Heavenly Father on March 30, 2017 at age 91. She was born in Coloñia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Henry Corn and Dolores Diaz. She married George T. Kartchner in 1947, and raised 5 children. Alice lived a long and productive life and inspired many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Kartchner, her mother, Dolores Diaz, and her father, Henry Martin Corn; siblings, Lorenza Porras, Porfirio Corn, Auturo, Ramona, and Amelia Flores. Alice is survived by 3 siblings; Margarita Hernandez, Rodrigo Flores, Maria Flores; her children, Verdell Kartchner, Rose Mary Kartchner, George (Gayla) Kartchner, Lucy (Tommy C.) Begay, and Jesse (Coni) Kartchner; 4 grandchildren; Stephanie (Matt) Bean, Michael Wuest, Whitney Kartchner and Joshua Kartchner; 5 great-grandchildren; Shilo Beaty, Preston, Melanie, Annabelle, and Isaac Bean.

Visitation for Alice will be held Friday, April 7, from 6-8 p.m., at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., Farmington. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, at The Church Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 400 West Apache, Farmington, with Jamie Huffman conducting. Pallbearers are: Jesse Kartchner, Michael Wuest, Joshua Kartchner, Matthew Bean, Tommy C. Begay and Donny Ortiz. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main, Farmington.
