Funeral Services for Elaine Abbie Yazzen, 63, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Our Lady of Fatima in Chinle, Ariz. Burial will be on a family plot in Spider Rock.
Yazzen died Dec. 18, 2012, in Albuquerque. She was born April 21, 1950, in Ganado, Ariz., into the Red Running into the Water People Clan born for the Coyote Pass People Clan.
Yazzen graduated from Chinle High School. She was employed with Crownpoint High School and was a homemaker. Yazzen enjoyed watching movies, sewing, playing guitar and babysitting her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons Theron Yazzen, Cornavan Yazzen, Lanery Yazzen, Veneron Yazzen and Leneron Yazzsen; daughters Santana Yazzen and Sasha Yazzen; brothers Charles Yoe, Bennie Smith and Melvin Jake; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Kee Bahe Jake and Alma Jake and son Lenton Yazzen.
Pallbearers will be Theron Yazzen, Cornavan Yazzen, Larry Yazzen, Veneron Yazzen, Leneron Yazzen and Manuel Benally.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
