Earnesteen I (Bair) Atkinson

Earnesteen I Atkinson "Arkie", 88, of Farmington, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Farmington. She was born on November 5, 1928 to Jesse Ernest and Clytie Ozelma (Lamb) Bair, in Plainview, Arkansas.
Earnesteen spent her entire life working in the restaurant business and never met a stranger she considered all of her customers her friends. She was always concerned with families in need. Along with Lela Holms, Marge Atkinson and others she was one of the founding members of Family Crisis Center and Echo Food Bank. She dearly loved her family especially her grandkids. The family would like to thank the staff at Cedar Ridge Inn Nursing Home and Dr. Robert Burns for all the care they provided.
Earnesteen is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Ernest and Clytie Ozelma Bair; brothers, Jackie Bair andClinton Bair; sister, Betty Jester.
Earnesteen is survived by her husband, Duane C. Atkinson; son, Tony (Cheri) Atkinson; daughters, Veda (Kirk) Mobley and Brenda (Jerry) Bockmon; sisters, Juanita McKelroy and Helen Donn; Grandchildren, Jennifer Jones, Cammie Mobley, Cody Mobley, Darren Bockmon, Denise Cate, Danny Bockmon, Donnie Bockmon, and Jerry Bockmon and numerous great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be gathering at a later date for her services. Memorials/donations may be made to Childhaven, 807 W. Apache St. in Farmington, 505-325-5358.
