Dorothy Jean Houston Ruple, 63 of Farmington passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in Aurora, Colorado. Dorothy was born September 2, 1950 in Manila, Arkansas the daughter of Loyd and Helen Houston. Dorothy married Lloyd Ruple in 1968. She was a nurse starting with LPN, RN, and getting BSN in Public Health in 1995. Dorothy worked for the state health department. She was the nurse manager at the Bloomifeld Health Department and retired in December 2012. She was very active in the community and cared only for her clients.
Dorothy was a good person, wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Loyd and Helen Houston. Dorothy leaves behind her husband Lloyd Ruple, son Robert Ruple; daughters Nichole Patterson and Tabitha Ruple; brothers Jimmy Houston, Jerry Houston and Mike Houston; sisters Mary Renfro and Teresa Jenson; 5 grandchildren and many dear friends and colleagues. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 400 W. Apache in Farmingotn with Bishop Jared Lusk conducting. Dorothy will then be laid to rest at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 East Main St. in Farmingotn. Pallbearers are Robert Ruple, Jimmy Houston, Vince Renfro, Steve Renfro, Billy Skinner and Steve Patterson. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Renfro, Jerry Houston and Mike Houston.
