Mary M. Wendell, 76, of Farmington, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014. She was born on July 15, 1938, to Lloyd and Myrtle Weber in Pine Brook, N.J. While living in New Jersey, she was a member of the Women's Auxiliary in Rockaway Neck, N.J. Mary loved to help people and volunteered at the Senior Center in Tolleson, Ariz. She moved to Farmington in November of 1976 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was involved in her church and community where she volunteered her time as a senior companion. Mary was a member of the Crafty Ladies group at the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and knitting.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Art Wendell; parents; and brothers, Fred Weber and Willie Weber.
She is survived by her children, Wayne A. Wendell, M. June (MJ) Wheeler, and Joyce A. Vaughn; one brother, two sisters, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 3, at the First United Methodist Church, 808 N. Monterey, in Farmington, with Pastor Dave Blackwell officiating.
