Donna Dolores (Blose) Baker

June 30, 1934 — August 26, 2016

Donna Dolores Baker "Dee Dee", age 82 of Las Cruces, NM died Friday August 26, 2016 at UNM Hospital from complications of pneumonia. She was born June 30, 1934 in New Kensington, PA to Addison "Ted" and Leona Blose. Dee Dee moved to Farmington in 1956, in 1988 she moved to Albuquerque, NM and spent the last 12 years in Las Cruces, NM. She got her GED and retired from Presbyterian Healthcare. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and attending her grandchildrens sporting events. Dee Dee was preceded in death by her three children; Thomas Baker, Barry Baker, and Robert Baker. Also preceded by her parents Addison "Ted" and Leona Blose, Brothers James and Harvey Blose, and sister Junietta McKinney all of PA, and also by one grandchild. She is survived by her four children; Richard Baker of Corrales NM, John Baker of Blanco NM, Shelley Zelin of Highlands Ranch, CO and Amy Duke of Deming, NM. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren and by her brother in law, Ronald McKinney and sister in law Janet Blose; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins mostly from PA as well. Viewing will be at Cope Memorial Chapel Friday September 2, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1221 E. 20th St. with Pastor Davis officiating. She will be buried at Memory Gardens Cemetery next to her beloved husband Ralph "Dick" Baker who preceded her in 1985. Pallbearers are Zathan Baker, Brandon Baker, Cody Baker, Lee Baker, Jordan Baker, Clayton Zelin, Byron Zelin and Bobby Duke. Donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association. Donna's care is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel of Farmington, New Mexico.
