Dixie James passed away unexpectedly on October 10, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, She was 78 years of age. She was born on August 2, 1942 in Cortez, Colorado.

Mrs. James lived for the Lord and her family. She was a long-time secretary for Immanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, and camping, she was a devoted homemaker that cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, She was deeply loved and will be missed.

She is survived by her children: Danita James, Kevin James, and Crystal Duffy. Her grandchildren: Steve Baca, Kyle James, Brent James, Kaytlyn Wiggins, Her great-grandchildren: Jaidyn Baca, Dylan James, Morgan James, Madisyn James, Ryan James, Hananiah Baca, Ethan Begaye, and Amber Begaye. Her sister: Donna Baldwin. Her very close cousins: Floyd Parker, Donald Ray Parker, and Roy Lee Parker, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Loyd James, that passed away on December 6, 2006. Her parents: George Parker and Freda Robbins Parker. Her son: Kenneth Loyd James. And her siblings: Pete Parker and Geneva Carrier.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday October 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Milan, NM with Steve Baca officiating. Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park.

Pallbearers include: Brent James, Steve Baca, Don Parker, Roy Lee Parker, Ethan Begaye, and Billy Parker.

Honorary Pallbearers include: Kyle James, Buzzy Bailey, and David Parker.

Cope Memorial Chapel of Gallup is entrusted with arrangements.
