Garrett Demetrius Carter a/k/a Demetrius Garrett, 20, of Farmington, passed away Saturday, November 3rd in Denver, CO. He was born November 1, 1992 in Farmington to Bobbie Jean Carter and Gary Floyd White.

Garrett was known to family and friends as "Tank". He moved to California for his school years and attended school there. He proceeded to attend Job Corps as well. He found Christ at an early age which he choose to stay in as he grew up. Garrett was interested in and knew martial arts, singing and dancing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed and lived life to the fullest. He was a young man with lots of respect, honesty and love for others with a heart of gold.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa's, Bobby Carter and Gary White (Lovies) and great grandmas, Earlene Raynor, Gladys White and Mae Bell Turner; great grandpa's, Rolly Hodd and David Lee Carter. He is survived by his significant other, Ophelia Delatorre, son, Anthony Jesus Garrett, daughter Destiny Delatorre, parents, Bobbie Jean Carter and Gary Floyd White, brothers, Bobby Ray Carter II, Elijah King, Mason Konkel, Lucas Greigo and Naeem Begay; sisters Chantara Carter, Aubrianna Carter, Sceana White, and Teneyah Casaus. Also surviving are grandparents, Precilla Carter and Marsh Ann Garrett.

Visitation for Garrett will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Brewer, Lee and Larkin, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. following the visitation. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Pinon Hills Community Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Ray Carter, Serafin Carter, Dartanian Smith, Elijah King, Benjamin King and Roynell Adams. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Carter, Michael Mitchell, Tavirius Carter, Joel Ruiz, Gary White and Chris Largo.
