In Our Hearts
“We thought of you today, but that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday and days before that too. We think of you in silence, we often speak your name. Now all we have are memories and your pictures. These memories, pictures and your humor are our keepsake with which we’ll never part. God has you in his keeping. We have you in our hearts.” - unknown
Davis Begaye passed away on April 13, 2020 just before sunrise. People would agree that he was one of kind, irreplaceable. He will be missed as a son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was born on December 17, 1971 in Shiprock, New Mexico. He graduated from Shiprock High School in 1990 and served seven years in the Army National Guard. He later moved back home to be closer to his family and worked at Home Depot in Farmington, New Mexico. He was known for his sense of humor and loved George Strait songs, the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Yankees, road trips, his family, and the Word of God. His legacy will continue through his beautiful 12-year-old daughter, Cadence Begaye, and his loving immediate family: father Jimmy Walters, mother Rachel, sister Ermalinda, and brothers Murphy and Marvin.
