David Kiril Yarborough, 73, went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Monday, July 15, 2013 after a long illness. He was born November 26, 1939, in Roswell to David Wynan and Georgia Lucille Yarborough. He was a resident of Farmington since 1953. David started working for his mom and step dad as a plumber at Economy Plumbing and Heating. He went on to become a City of Farmington policeman and a City of Farmington fireman, engineer and lieutenant. David served as the first fire marshal for San Juan County. He also worked as a water hauler in the oil field. For the past 10 years, David was retired due to health conditions and enjoyed spending time with his wife of 55 years, Patsy. He is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Mead Yarborough, and five children, Michael David Yarborough (Alicia) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Steven Kiril Yarborough (Barbara) of Bloomfield, Anthony Scott Yarborough (Debra) Of Aztec, Pattie Sceales (Steven) of Grover Beach, California and Michele Stevenson (Casey) of Sarasota, Florida. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, his aunt Claribel Yarborough Marshall of Roswell and his brother Tommy Moore of Truth or Consequences. David was preceded in death by his mother Georgia Yarborough Huntley, his father David Wynam Yarborough, his step-dad R.F. Bob Huntley and grandson Nathaniel Yarborough. Memorial services for David will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 211 W. 20th in Farmington, with Brother John Preston Officiating. There will be a private internment. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Farmington Fire Department. David's care is entrusted to Alternative Choice, 804 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington, 505-325-9611.
