September 10, 1979 - July 14, 2016
David Chokie-Watson, 36, of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 in Durango, CO. David was born on September 10, 1979 to Barbara Stock in Farmington.
David loved to go camping and spend time with family and friends. David was honored three times by "Who's Who of America" while he was in high school. He received his A+ Certification in computers. David was employed at San Juan Regional Medical Center for 7 years as a computer technician. He was then employed by Radio Shack and Sprint for the last two years. David had a gentle soul and a kind heart. He was a very loving and good husband and father, son, and son-in-law. He had a very special bond with his younger brother, Robert. David had been through many obstacles throughout his life. One of them was in 1996 when he lost his best high school friend, Tony Dighiera, due to an accident when they were hit by a car. David was in the hospital and rehab for a year. He was determined that he would walk down the aisle and receive his diploma with his graduating class and he did exactly that. David was a very determined young man and very respectable. He will be greatly missed.
David is preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth Chokie; and his uncle Kenneth Chokie.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Watson; son, Kenneth Chokie-Watson; mother, Barbara Stock; brother, Robert Watson; grandmother, Barbara Chokie.
