Daniel Lopez

Daniel Lopez was born in 1960, to Jimmy and Mary Lopez, in the Kimbeto area. He is preceded in death by a brother, Lewis; sister, Lydia and Marilyn. He is survived by three sisters, Suzanne Lopez-Sam, Genevieve Yazzie, and Sherry Boyd; and also left behind his wife of 27 years Joquetta Lopez, and six kids, Dion J, Daniel J. Jolonzo Goldtooth, Danetta, Manuelito and Barboncito; 10 grandkids, Dashane, Kaydance, Delilah, Nykolai, Zion, Chance, Jasmine, Alexis, Tremaine, Adriel; and numerous nephews and nieces and grand nephews and nieces.
Daniel went to school at Brethren Navajo Mission in Counselor. In the eighth grade he went to Brethren High School in Paramount California and then graduated in Dayton Christian high school in 1979, he continued schooling at New Mexico University, Fort Lewis College, and San Juan College where he received an associate's degree in art and sociology, and was working on business of administration. Daniel made sure he provided for his family by working with Navajo Nation at Nageezi Chapter as a Student Supervisor, Power Construction company, Navajo Agricultural, Project Industry- operation and maintenance (NAPI OandM) for 19 years, Dine' Poultry Products for 3 years, Four Winds Recovery Center for four years and the City of Farmington for 4 years. He enjoyed doing Ministry work, involving Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA), and Passion Play Ministry International (PPMI). Daniel will be missed by many, but through his strong Christian beliefs we all know he went home to our Heavenly Father to watch over us daily. When u find a feather in you path remember this. Feather blessing signs: Feathers appear when Angels are near. Often referred to as the "calling card" of the Angels, feathers are reminders that your Angels are always near. Feather blessing can come in all colors, shapes and sizes. The most common are little fluffy white ones.
A service will be held for Daniel at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at World Harvest Church with officiant Pastor Ben Stoner.
