Cornelio Ramirez, 47 of Farmington, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014, from complications due to his long battle with kidney disease. He was born on June 17, 1967, to Maria Ramirez in Brownfield, TX. He was raised by his grandfather Alejandro. After his grandfather died, he went out in his own working for Pepsi, Hostess, and Wal-Mart. In 1999, he moved to Midland and started working for Albertsons. There Cornelio met and married the mother of his children, Jena Roberts. They lived in Midland for 5 years before transferring to Farmington, where he continued to work for Albertsons. He was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2006 and awaited a kidney transplant for many years. Cornelio worked as a groundskeeper at Sacred Heart School for 6 years. He kept the grounds beautiful with his green thumb. He was also in charge of the before and after school program; kids loved to stay just for a good game of dodge ball. In the last few years, Cornelio enjoyed the time he spent at the Flea Market and made many friends there. He never knew a stranger! He loved sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys. They were his favorite team and he knew one day they would find greatness. Cornelio loved his daughters very much; they were his world. They will miss him every day.
Cornelio was preceded in death by his mother and grandfather.
He is survived by his daughters Baily, Emily Ann and Isabella.
