Conchita "Connie" Valdez, 81, of Aztec, our beloved Mother, grandmother, and sister, went home to be with our Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015. She was born on May 30, 1933, in Farmington, to Chrisostimo and Lucy Trujillo. Connie enjoyed camping with her family, yard sales, and most importantly serving our Lord Jesus Christ.
Connie is survived by her children Dennis Saiz, Roseanne(Gabriel) Trujillo, Chris (Harold) Crispin, Eileen (Brent) Albin, John (Judy) Saiz, Ernie Valdez, Ricky Valdez, David Valdez, Iesha (Armando) Ibarra; 18 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; her brothers, Abe Trujillo, Ernie (Kathy) Trujillo, and Marcell (Ida) Trujillo. Awaiting her at the pearly white gates are her parents; her daughter Erlinda Applegate; son J.A. Saiz; and her brothers, Chris and Ruben Trujillo.
Pallbearers are Brent Albin, Emmett Albin, Anthony Valdez, Louis Valdez, Mark Trujillo and Scott Saiz. Honorary Pallbearers are Gabe Trujillo, Harold Crispin, Richard Trujillo, Armando Ibarra and all her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Connie's granddaughter Anita Barron for her tender loving care. A special thanks to Julie of Guardian Home Health Care for her compassion and care for Connie and her family during their time of need.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday at the Word of Life Christian Center, 1500 N. Fairview Ave. in Farmington, with Pastor Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens in Farmington. Connie's care is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington St. in Farmington, 505-327-5142.
