Cody Lynn Barns

October 23, 1959 — March 2, 2016

On March 2, 2016 heaven gained another angel. Cody Barns passed peacefully after years of struggling. Cody passed with his mother, brother, and long term family friend Susan Hall by his side. Cody is survived by his mother Charlene Barns, brother Dean Barns, two children Alesha Vesely and Brandon Barns, three grandchildren Kaylee, Bethany and Pax, nieces Dennah and Dasha and long term girlfriend Ramona Soto. Cody was loved by many and over the years participated in a number of charitable organizations including, Mason's, Shriners, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Elks, DeMolay and Aztec Senior Center many of which he severed with his late father Bert Barns. Cody worked at Williams Field Services, Farmington Floral, Crown Point College, and at Barns and Associates after graduating from Ft Lewis College. Cody was preceded in death by father Bert Barns, brothers Gary Barns and Bert Glen Barns and will be deeply missed by the many lives he affected. Cody never met a stranger and was always willing to help those who were in need. His family appreciates that love and support they have received during this difficult time. Memorial Services will take place on March 18th, at 11 am, at Mountain View Baptist Church officiated by John Preston. Cody's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St, Farmington.
