Cliff was a mans-man, he was rough and tough, a cowboy through and through! He broke horses and mules while serving in the armed forces during World War II. After his service to our country, he served for three years in the East Central States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he met his wife to be. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on April 7, 1949. His life was full of service, always giving to others that were in need, while at times going without himself. His baking skills were great, earning him many first place ribbons and trophies. He would take pies to the Life Care facility where his sweet wife was being cared for before her passing on January 5th of this year. Cliff was very accomplished at many things, such as bowling where he competed in many tournaments. During one of his series, he Bowled an 899 leaving the six pin standing, for what would have been a perfect series. His love of golf was also a lifetime favorite. At times he would play 45 holes in one day and be the first out the next morning. Training horses was In his blood - there never was a horse that got the better of him. Cliff enjoyed singing; this he got from his parents who sang professionally. He loved to sing with his wife, and what a duet they made. He was a tenor, and Judy a soprano. When they sang, the angels listened! He was a great scriptorian... he only memorized four scriptures in his entire life... the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price. The viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service today, Jan. 12 at the Lake Hills Memorial Cemetery, 10055 So. State St. Sandy, Utah. Following the service there will be a grave dedication for both Cliff and Judy. Cliff's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
