Clarence Jefferson Jack

Clarence Jefferson Jack, 93, of Bloomfield, made his final jump to eternity on Saturday, June 29, 2013, in his home. Clarence was born April 4, 1920, in Sanford, Colo., to Will and Clara Rogers Jack. In 1924, his family moved via covered wagon from the San Luis Valley to Fruitland. He had eight brothers and sisters; Vernon Jack, Earl Jack, Irene Jack Black, Sylvan Jack, Nelson Jack, Clarence, Faye Jack Flack, Alden Jack and Edna Jack Guillory. He graduated from high school in Kirtland, in 1938 and then spent a few years working on the Navajo Reservation with his older brothers. He was able to join the United States Visit Army Memorial Site to see similar profiles" as a pathfinder and member of the 101st Airborne, "Screaming Eagles," 501 A Company. He spent 311 days as a prisoner of war in Germany. Clarence met and married Ronda Brimhall in 1946 and together they had 5 children, Ronald C. Jack, Collette Jack Hamblin, Paul Jeffry Jack
(deceased), Roger Clarence Jack (deceased), and Christine Jack Henrie. From 1958-1980 Clarence and Ronda owned and operated "Jack's Boots and Saddles". After their retirement they were able to travel the United States with family and friends. Clarence and Ronda lived a full life with many friends. Clarence spent the years after Ronda died living on the farm, on the Bloomfield Highway next to Christine, Brad and their family. Clarence was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Ronda Brimhall Jack; sons, Paul Jeffry Jack and Roger Jack. He is survived by son, Ronald (Saundra) Jack and family; daughter, Collette (Ted) Hamblin and family and daughter, Christine Jack (Brad) Henrie and children, Megan Jack, Ashley Jack, Kimber Henrie (Christopher) Crismon, Elder Will Henrie (Oregon, Eugene Mission) and great-grandson, Bryce Crismon. Clarence was active until one week before his death and only very ill for the last two days.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St. in Farmington. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Apache Street Building, 400 W. Apache St. with Bishop Ricky Sewell conducting. Interment will follow with full military honors by Visit VFW Memorial Site to see similar profiles" Post #2182 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Farmington. Family viewing will be 1 p.m. prior to service in the Relief Society Room at the church.
