Cheryl Ann (Hunt) Burch

Cheryl was born in Snowflake, Arizona on August 20, 1947 to Lehi and Barbara Hunt as the fifth of twelve surviving children: Joann Montierth (married to H. Melvin Montierth) of St. Johns, Arizona; Sandra Slade (married to James "Pard" Slade) of Monticello, Utah; Linda Lee Larson (married to Wendell Larson) of Holbrook, Arizona; Russell Hunt (married to Carol Hunt) of Fredonia, Arizona; Loretta Holmes (married to Mike Holmes) of Ivans, Utah; Elaine Pulver of Las Vegas, Nevada; Debra Judd of Fredonia, Arizona; Vickie McPhail (married to David McPhail) of St. George, Utah; Kent Hunt (married to Jeannie Hunt) of Fredonia, Arizona; Peggy Wardle of Washington, Utah and Emma Millett (married to David Millett) of Fredonia, Arizona.
Cheryl is also survived by ten grandchildren: Ryan Dominic Vest, Courtney Lynn Burch, Natasha Marie Swank, Patrick Michael-Dane Swank, Brenden Kyle Kightlinger, Christopher Shawn Burch, Katahna Leigh Swank, Christopher Russell Hilton, Kayla Renee Burch, Tony Hilton and Savannah Dawn Hilton.
Cheryl graduated from Fredonia High School, Fredonia, Arizona in 1965 and married on November 3, 1967 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cheryl raised her family primarily in Gallup, New Mexico and in Bloomfield, New Mexico. Cheryl was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Cheryl worked a variety of jobs, but her most important work was raising and loving her family. Cheryl loved making crafts, playing cards, camping with her family and watching game shows, but family reunions were the highlight of her summer. Grandma Cheryl is most remembered for her caring heart and her big smile.
Services will be held on Monday September 24, 2012 at the Bloomfield Stake Center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 804 West Blanco Blvd., Bloomfield, New Mexico. Viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., after which the interment ceremony and burial will occur at Memory Gardens, 6917 East Main St. Farmington, New Mexico. Thereafter, a luncheon will be held at the Bloomfield Stake Center for friends and family.
