Charles "Lewayne" Palmer, Sr.

Charles "Lewayne" Palmer, Sr. 54, of Farmington, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. He was born July 18, 1960, in El Paso, Texas, to Charlie and Gordie Palmer. Lewayne was a dedicated father and son. He took pride in caring for his family and friends, and was known for his kindness and generosity. Lewayne was a member of the NRA and enjoyed sports shooting, hunting, racing, off-roading and being outdoors. His love for these things was passed on to his sons. Lewayne was a gifted mechanic, who earned several different certifications in that field of study. He leaves behind a legacy as a loving father, faithful friend, and kindhearted person to all who knew him.
Lewayne was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Gordie Palmer. He is survived by the mother of his children, Michele Grenfell; his sons, Chaz, Chris and Gabe Palmer; and a granddaughter, Memory Marie Palmer.
Cremation will take place and a memorial service for Lewayne will be held Friday, July 17, at 2:00 p.m., at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute, Farmington, (505) 325-8688. Lewayne's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home.
