Charles "Charlie" Wade Hedgecock

May 8, 1939 — February 5, 2015

Charles Hedgecock, age, 75, of Farmington passed away on February 5, 2015 at Cedar Ridge Inn Nursing Home in Farmington. Charlie was born on May 8, 1939 in Wellington, Texas the son of Wade and Roxie Hedgecock. Charlie was married to his lifelong sweetheart Patsy on December 15th, 1957. Shortly thereafter he served in United States Navy for 4 years. He was nominated outstanding recruit. He moved his family back to San Jon, NM after his service was up, so he could return to farming. He loved it, it was in his blood. He was a farmer and cowboy all his life. He was lovably stubborn. He earned the name John Wayne from his family. And it always made him laugh. He was a very loving man who always put his family first. As his daughter I am so very grateful God blessed me with him as my Dad. We take comfort in that he is now with my dear Mom and my brother Russell. Heaven has gained another angel. Preceded in death by his wife Patsy Hedgecock, his son Russell Hedgecock. His parents Wade and Roxie Hedgecock, his brother Don Hedgecock. Survived by: his daughter Carla Martin and her husband Mike, his sisters Carolyn Liles and Donna Kay Jackson, his granddaughter Jade Martin, his grandson Casey Martin and wife Christy, his great granddaughter Aubra Kay Martin and many friends.
