Charles (Chuck) Arnold Grady, 59, of Farmington, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, in his home. He was born Jan. 6, 1959, in Belen the son of Beatrice (Bea) Mary Padilla-Grady and Robert (Bob) Lawrence Grady.

Loving father and brother, Chuck married/divorced his only sweetheart Lisa (Modrow) and soon after welcomed his son, Michael.

Chuck, a 1977 graduate of Farmington High School, was known for his incredible hang time on a hook shot in basketball. He attended college in Las Cruses. Chuck absolutely loved sports!! He devoted his time to sports as long as he was able, from playing and coaching basketball, softball and bowling to just playing at the park. He loved watching sports on TV and followed them all, Redskins, LA Lakers, LA Dodgers you name it he watched!

Chuck worked for many area businesses including Taco Bell where he met Lisa, K-Bob's, Thriftway, Mead's Sewing, Diamond Vogel and Giant and ownership in The Golden Needle. He made many lifelong friendships.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Bob (Feb. 2000) and Bea (Oct. 2017).

He is survived by his son, Michael - wife, Maria; son, Thomas and his sister, Gigi; his brothers, Robert from Flora Vista - wife Debra (and their children: Joshua - wife, Amanda and family, Briana - husband, Isaac and family, Bryce, Rebekka, Alyssa, Kenneth, Dominic, Kathrine and Nathan), Greg from Palatine, Ill. - (and his daughters, Julia, Kylie both from Aztec) current wife, Linda (and her children, Trevver, Derek and Shania) also from Palatine, Ill.

We would like to thank everyone for praying for Chuck and ask that in lieu of flowers, go to Dairy Queen and enjoy a treat in honor of Chuck!!!

Divine Mercy Chaplet will be recited at 9 a.m. prior to Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 414 N. Allen Ave. in Farmington. His cremated remains will be laid to rest with his mom and dad at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington.

Pallbearers are brothers, Robert and Greg Grady; son, Michael; and grandson, Thomas Grady. Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Grady, Isaac Montoya. Bryce, Kenneth, Dominic, and Nathan Grady.
