Cecelia Rose Padilla, 59, of Fruitland, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, in Albuquerque. She was born March 30, 1955, in Bisti, to Mary Rose and Samuel Begay. She was born to the Zuni clan and born for the Many Hogans clan.
Cecelia attended the Intermountain Indian School. She was employed with San Juan Regional Medical Center, Four Winds Detox, Yellowstone National Park, Navajo Area on Aging and the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation.
Cecelia was a very caring, loving and giving lady.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Pamela Kee; her parents; and her grandparents, Alice and Joe Benally.
Cecelia is survived by Ernestine (Tina) Kee, Elissa (Lisa) Kee and Cyrena Cly; brother Lorenzo Begay; sisters, Nancy Begay, Amelia Nakai, Darlene Bekis, Evangeline George, Evaline Begay and Elva Ann Begay; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, in Farmington, with Pastor Calvin Lee officiating. A reception will follow at the Kirtland Union Hall.
