CASSIE STILES DALLAS, 89 of Farmington passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015 at her home. Cassie was born in Farmington, NM on February 26, 1925 to David William Stiles and Flora McClain Stiles. She graduated from Farmington High School, attended the University of New Mexico, and worked for First National Bank.
She married Wayne W. Dallas on August 17, 1945. Cassie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Electra Chapter No. 13 Order of the Eastern Star, PEO Sisterhood, San Juan County Museum Association, and the Farmington Museum Foundation. She was Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. For decades she served as chair of the Museums Foundation's Fourth of July Ice Cream Social. In 2011 she received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the San Juan College Volunteer Center. Cassie will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents David William Stiles and Flora McClain Stiles; brothers David Woodrow Stiles, and Dr. Lindley Stiles; sisters Simmie Edna Stiles, Dyvena S. Crawford and Bessie S. Gibson.
Cassie leaves behind her beloved husband of 69 years Wayne Wilbur Dallas; son David Wayne Dallas and wife Mary Angela; daughters Jan (Philip) Keck and Gwen (Bob) Goff; 6 grandchildren Derek (Malia) Keck, Tiffany (Scott) Heritsch, Mandy Goff, Casey Goff, Cullen Dallas and Kiley Dallas; 4 great-grandchildren Tayla Heritsch, Bryce Heritsch, Alexander Keck, and Leilani Keck and many dear friends.
Cremation will take place and memorial services for Cassie will be Wednesday, February 4th at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 808 N. Monterey in Farmington with Pastor Dave Blackwell officiating. Interment of cremated remains will follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Farmington Museum Foundation Endowment Fund, PO Box 115, Farmington, NM 87499-0115.
Cassie's services are entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., Farmington (505) 325-8688.
