Carl Almore Estep Jr

Carl Almore Estep, Jr., age 90, was born June 9, 1923 to Carl Estep and Carrie Jennings Estep at Elk City, Kansas. He graduated from Elk City High School then attended Coyne Electrical School in Chicago. In 1942 he joined the U.S. Navy and served 39 months as a diesel mechanic. He was on Okinawa when the war ended in 1945. . On July 3, 1943 he married his high school sweetheart Louise Davidson. In 2013 they celebrated their 70th anniversary. After owning and working two milk routes in Kansas, he worked in the water well industry. Starting with Culligan soft water and ending by owning the Carl A. Estep Company (wholesale water well equipment) for 30 years in Albuquerque. Carl was a man of many talents and hobbies. Including trail riding, camping, hunting, rock cutting, gardening, woodworking, riding ATV's with his grandsons and son-in law and flying. Carl was a Deacon in the First Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Louise, son Steven A(Pat) Estep, daughter Nancy D. (Ken) Robinson, grandsons Brent (Cheryl) Estep, Christopher (Felicia) Estep, Travis (Jennifer) Robinson, Ryan Robinson, sister Ola Haeker, step granddaughter Stephanie (Bill) Moss, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandson and one niece. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to First Presbyterian Church, 865 North Dustin and Northwest Hospice 608 Reilly Ave Farmington, NM or meals on wheels 109 E La Plata St, Farmington, NM. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held Wednesday October 30, 2013 at 11 O'Clock am at the First Presbyterian Church, 865 N Dustin Ave in Farmington 87401 with Reverend Glenn Perica officiating. Carl's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home.
