Blanch Judith Stewart, 97, of Kirtland, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 11, 1923, in McIntosh, Minnesota to Burnie and Julia Johnson Urdahl.
Blanch lived a full life. One of her greatest joys was her grand and great-grandchildren. She was more fondly known as "G. G.". She loved to travel and visited many places in the US, including Alaska, as well as England, Norway, Sweden, and Mexico. She enjoyed playing bridge and dominos with her card buddies, as well as attending Bible Study at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Blanch worked as a nurse at San Juan Regional Medical Center for 25 years, retiring in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Stewart; daughter, JoAnne Erkert; step-children Fern, Dorothy and Bobby; brothers Stanley, Leonard, and Oliver; and sisters Lillian and Lila.
She leaves behind her sons Jerry Stewart and wife Teressa, Troy Stewart and wife Silvia; daughters Judy Gebman and husband John, Pat Roberts and husband Billy; son-in-law's Ray Colebank and Ron Erkert; sisters Gladys Shae and Leona Larson; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and many dear friends.
A Viewing will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Kirtland-Fruitland Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Larry Davis, Trinity Lutheran Church.
