July 29, 1926 - June 26, 2015
Beverly Pierce passed beyond our sight and hearing on June 26, 2015, at the Bridge in Farmington, secure in the love of her family, friends and her Maker. Beverly came into this world on July 29, 1926, at Pocatello, Idaho, the first child of Charles and Edna Young. She was preceded in death by her husband, best friend and partner in all things Martin, after a 65 year marriage.
Beverly was a confidant for the troubled, a philanthropist, a strong advocate for education, a friend to children everywhere and the dedicated head of her family.
She leaves behind her daughter Susan Nelson (Steve) and her beloved grandsons, Jason, Kyle and Kevin; her son John (Clare); and grandchildren, Anthony (Michelle); and her great-grandchildren, Chloe, Emma and Joe; her granddaughters, Beth Thompson and Corrine (James) Boddy and her son David (Maxine).
The family would like to express its gratitude to the wonderful folks at PALS, the Bridge, Basin Hospice and the greater Farmington medical community for the compassionate and skilled care she received during her final illness. Special thanks also to Dr. Jude Gabaldon, who tended her with skill, friendship and above all, kindness.
Memorial contributions may be made to Childhaven or the charity of one's choice.
A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at St. Johns Episcopal Church at 312 N. Orchard Ave. in Farmington.
