Ann Hisky Cleveland, 65, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 in Aztec. She was born Jan. 20, 1948, in Memphis, Tenn. to Hiltrude Roth and Vincent Hisky.
Ann was a loving wife, beloved mother, and a devoted grandmother.
She was a Vietnam-era veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a graduated from Park University.
She was a devoted Catholic and a tireless advocate of pro-life causes. She was a member of St. Joseph's choir until four years ago when she developed thyroid cancer.
She enjoyed acting in plays with the San Juan College Theater.
She loved traveling and visiting her children and grandchildren. She is greatly loved will be deeply missed.
Ann is survived by her husband, Richard Allan Cleveland; sons, Benjamin (Brandy) Cleveland, Dominic (Laurinda) Cleveland; daughters, Bevlin (Joseph) Lyons, Susanna (Marco) Emerson, Amara (Matthew) Griswold; brother, Don (Linda) Hisky; sisters, Beverly Waring and Linda Wright; and 20 grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 424 Mesa Verde Ave. in Aztec.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with Father George Kingsley-Obilonu as celebrant.
Pallbearers are Benjamin Cleveland, Dominic Cleveland, Joseph Lyons, Marco Emerson, Matthew Griswold and Don Hisky.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Ann's care is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel of Aztec, 405 S. Main Ave., 505-334-9332.
