Anita Jean Barber, 47, of Upper Fruitland, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, in Farmington. She was born May 20, 1968, in Shiprock to Robert and Blanche Barber. She was born to Bit'ahnii (Folded Arm) and born for Nakaii Dine'e (Mexican Clan). She attended schools in Kirtland for twelve years and she graduated in 1986 from Kirtland Central High School. She worked at numerous jobs which included KFC, Lotaburger and Safeway. She was still employed at Albertsons when she passed away. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Tom and Ann Harwood; and paternal grandparents, Tom and Marie Barber. She is survived by her sons, Samuel Barber, Orion Goodluck, Christian Goodluck and Tristen Goodluck; her parents, Robert and Blanche Barber; her brothers, Orlando Barber and Robert Harris; and her sister, Corena Barber. A visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec.2, at Cope Memorial Chapel in Kirtland. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at Cope Memorial Chapel of Kirtland, 458 Road 6100, with Pastor James Fredy officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirtland-Fruitland Cemetery. A reception will be at Upper Fruitland Desert View Church. Pallbearers are Orlando Barber, Robert Harris, Orion Goodluck, Samuel Barber, Melvin Tsosie and Randell Harris.
