Alice M. Moore Scribner, 95, of Aztec, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014, in Aztec. She was born July 25, 1918, in Weatherby, Mo., to Irving A. and Sara C. Moore.
She graduated from Weatherby High School in Weatherby, Mo. She attended two years of nursing school. She worked for Komac Paint for over 35 years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Farmington. Alice lived at the Good Samaritan Village in Aztec for 10 years. Her hobbies were crocheting, gardening, and hiking in Colorado with her husband, Walter.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband Walter E. Scribner; son Jack R. Scribner; her parents; brother John B. Moore; and one great-granddaughter Jenna Miller.
She is survived by her daughter Judy A. Peterson; grandchildren, Kelly (Sandy) Peterson, Chris (Dee) Peterson and Katie (Mike) Miller; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 13, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 500 N. Mesa Verde Ave. in Aztec.
A Mass of Christian burial will follow with Father Kinsley George-Obilonu.
burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington.
Honorary pallbearers are Zachary Peterson, Emily Durbin, Abby Fauverque, Kim Scott, Danielle Peterson and J.R. Miller.
